Joseph Bodin Boismoertier's Six Sonatas Op. 19 for flute and basso continuo includes optional part for cello, or other basso continuo instrument besides piano. The collection includes Sonatas No. 1-6.

'Few composers of the period published more than Boismortier: at a period when opus numbers generally remained in single figures, his reached 102. He thus achieved financial success without dependence on patronage or the opera. Most of his works involve the transverse flute.
