Songs & Dances was designed to be playable to amateur and student ensembles, with a few challenges. Written with accessibility, charm, and general appeal in mind, each movement features a distinct element of American rhythm - swing, smooth, latin, rock, and be-bop - in movements titled Waltz, Night Journey, Tower, Love Song, and Bebop Jig.
