These three short movements for flute (doubling alto flute) and harp were composed in 1999 for the Zxyros Duo (Carla Rees, flute and Rebecca Smith, harp).

From the composer:

In composing these pieces, my aim was to create a set of short, appealing movements, which could be easily programmed with the standard repertoire for flute and harp, whilst still providing the interest of dissonant harmony and a contemporary approach to the use of the instruments.
