Barenreiter is pleased to present Combocom Balkan: 13 Arrangements fur variable Besetzung (13 Arrangements for variable instruments).

An abundance of ethnic origins and cultures are located in the Balkan - on a triangular part of the continent south of the route from Trieste to the Danube delta. This choice of pieces is naturally only a small excerpt of the colorful and contrast worth of the southeastern European music-folklore, which should however us an impression of the total mosaic.

All the pieces in this collection are arranged such that they can be played in almost any instrumental combination, regardless of the number of musicians or the instruments. The songs can also be sung in attractive vocal combinations using added texts.

Included in this collection is the solo/vocal part for C instrument, Melody I for C, Bb, or Eb instrument, Melody II for C, Bb, or Eb instrument, bass, and a piano/harmony score with chord symbols. The music in this collection can thus be performed with as little as a flute and piano, or as much as a full jazz sextet with two vocalists and percussion.
