Christoph Graupner always sets his solo instruments up with exquisite care in his concertante and solo works, and this is particularly evident in his Concerto No. 35 for two flutes (here presented in a reduction for two flutes and piano).

The four-movement late Baroque concerto form is given vivd life with a introductory largo first movement, a gorgeous second movement in an extended alla breve, a larghetto interlude, and a vivace final that holds the best of Graupner's musical language.
