The melody is very close to Belarusian folk song and is distinguished by unearthly beauty, lyricism, and sadness. In the original song, the dressmaker girl Xenia sews a wedding dress for a bride for many days and cries because her fiancé was taken away by the sea, and she will never wear such a dress."
