Lombardo Music Publications presents 'A Flutee Celebration' for flute quartet by composer Ricky Lombardo. This piece was commissioned by and dedicated to the flute quartet 'Flutee' from Saginaw, Michigan.

The composer writes about this piece: 'A Flutee Celebration' portrays the life cycle of the ensemble Flutee in a brief manner using three movements. Movement 1 'Creation' portrays the organization and creation of Flutee. Movement 2 'Moods and Styles' intends to show a couple of the many moods that have been performed by Flutee, from a beautiful melodic waltz to something more contemporary and funky. Movement 3 'Jubilation' starts with a brief majestic four measures, stating that the ensemble has come a long way form the time of creation. There is one measure for each of the quartet. The rest of the movement is very lively and moves along at an allegro tempo or faster. This is very melodic and happy. Musically, it is building to a climatic ending.'
