Four Gaelic pieces in traditional style: rowdy, raw, and rambunctious when fast, achingly personal when slow. Movements are entitled Rose Cottage, The Doubtful Wife, Lake Solace, and Describe a Circle (a jig). Scored for four C flutes, this is also ideal for flute choir, with an alternate Alto Flute part, doubling the 3rd flute, and a bass flute on part 4. This music is meant to be enjoyed like country cooking - with gusto!
