Godfrey Finger's 'Sonata in G Major' for descant recorder and basso continuo is classified by Schott as easy for the appropriate level flutist. Edited by Walter Bergmann, this edition has been prepared from a manuscript in the Durham Cathedral Library by kind permission of the Dean and Chapter. The piece was originally written in C for treble recorder and has been transposed up a fifth for the descant.
