The Great Train Race by composer Ian Clarke

An extended technique showpiece that sounds like its title, it has proven extremely popular. Techniques include residual/breathy fast tonguing, multiphonics, singing and playing, lip bending, explosive harmonics and an optional circular breathing section. A forward with explanations of the techniques is given along with fingerings in the score for easy reference.

Includes versions for both C- and B-foot flutes. Open holes are not required.
