Jacob ter Veldhuis presents Jungle Heart, for flute and two percussionists, written for James Galway and the Safri Duo on their Euro-American tour in 2000.

From the composer:

'I intended to write virtuosic music for these great musicians. Due to the rich and colorful combination of instruments the music I wrote made me think of the dense tree canopy in the tropics, crowded with a large variety of exotic birds. Imaginary sounds and rhythms of the jungle were on my mind when I wrote Jungle Heart.
