Zen-On Music presents Ikuma Dan's Sonata for flute and piano, first published in 1990.

A 20th century composer of Japanese origin, Ikuma graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1946 and completed six symphonies throughout his career. One of his best known works in a 1951 opera Yuzuru (Twilight Crane) and in 1997, Dan wrote Takeru; an opera for the opening of New National Theatre in Tokyo, Japan's main opera house.
