Pachelbel, J
Pachelbel is best remembered today for his Canon in D. Originally written for three strings and continuo, the Canon has been arranged for different combinations of instruments over a period of years.
The various accompaniments offered with this transcription are intended to keep the spirit of the work, and at the same time give as many performers opportunities as possible. This arrangement may be performed with as few as three, and as many as fifteen C flutes, using piano, harp or guitar and double-bass accompaniment. Alto and bass flute(s) may be substituted for (or supplement) the accompaniment parts when these instrument are available.
Includes score for piano or harp, flute parts, and additional optional alto flute, bass flute, guitar, and string bass parts.
