On the one hand 'Baroquelochness' is a humoresque (it begins 'monsterioso'), but on the other hand it is a serious attempt to rediscover some of the numerous subtleties of rhythm, counterpoint, and phrasing, which got lost after the baroque age. Unlike the adventurers who have been looking for the big worm 'Nessie' in vain (at least until now...), the musical diver is not disappointed in the barque loch, but discovers precious treasures.
