German flute maker Emil Rittershausen (1852-1927) trained under Theobald Boehm and opened his own workshop around 1876, making flutes by hand not only for the European market but also exporting flutes to the United States and Canada through a partnership with Carl Fischer.

This beautiful Rittershausen wood flute was most likely made in the late 19th Century, has silver keys, a C footjoint, open G#, and closed holes.

All our used, pre-owned, and demo instruments are fully serviced before made available for sale. They are disassembled and cleaned; cork replaced, pads and leaks fixed; and fully re-assembled and re-adjusted.

We also provide a six-month warranty on further adjustments or issues with corks, felts, or pad seating for all our used, pre-owned, and demo instruments.
