In a variety of styles - swing, jazz, rock, ballad, and latin - they include running commentary and examples of appropriate jazz technique and styling.

While the chief use of this book is to acquire jazz feel and styling, the ambitious advanced student can go further to read the chord changes (all written in) and alter the melodic lines and rhythms to create their own improvisations.
