The title page identifies the composer as 'Signor Bach,' but unfortunately there is no indication of his forenames.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOne would probably not be mistaken in assuming that the composer was a relation of Johann Sebastian Bach. There are several reasons for believing that the composer was probably Johann Sebastian's brother Johann Jocab Bach, his elder by three years, who had been trained as a town musician in Eisenach.
