The original manuscript score is lost but a manuscript set of parts used for performance in Leipzig is preserved. Of these the Flute, the 1st Violin and the figured Bass parts are written in Bach s own hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn the present practical edition the contrapuntal web of parts had to be simplified in order to make it playable on the piano. The Flute part however corresponds to the original. Notes printed in small type in the accompaniment can be omitted. The figured bass has been taken into account in completing the harmonies.
