This interaction generates the evolution of the movement. The second movement, marked Spirited, gradually realeases its energy and ends quietly. The piano introduces the slow third movement and accompanies the flute for its long line followed by another long line for the bassoon. The final section brings all three instruments together with an underlying dialogue between the flute and bassoon.
