The electronic score was realized at the University of Maryland Computer Music Studio using a Yamaha CX5 Music Computer and DX7 Synthesizer. The title of the work, while purposely ambiguous, relates to the “vocation” (from the Latin vocare, i.e., to call) of composing and the compelling mystery of sound in music. Support from the Creative and Performing Arts Board of the University of Maryland, College Park for the composition of Calling is gratefully acknowledged.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"American Composers Alliance","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46970408304934,"sku":"ACAGIBR016","price":13.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0827\/3559\/5814\/products\/A00000ACAGIBR016_1.jpg?v=1697531710","url":"https:\/\/www.flute4u.com\/products\/gibson-r-calling","provider":"Carolyn Nussbaum Music Company","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
