The language of the music is tonal, post-tonal and mainly consonant. In stylistic terms, the pieces comes close to tango music. However, it is not 'dance music', but a concert piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe work consists of three movements, with a total duration of 11 minutes. The first movement, \u003cem\u003eErwartungen\u003c\/em\u003e (Expectations), has a milonga rhythm and is based on whole-tone scales. The second movement, \u003cem\u003eRuckblick\u003c\/em\u003e (Looking back), is melodically expressive, in moderate tempo.
