Shush O’Clock was commissioned by Flutes4Kids. This piece is dedicated to young flutists, introducing them to extended techniques through engaging and innovative ensemble playing.
Welcome to the wild and wacky world of being a newbie musician! It’s all about diving headfirst into a playground of sounds and getting a little creative with your instrument. You’re on a quest to discover all those quirky noises!
But here’s the catch: not everyone shares your enthusiasm for your musical experiments. Family and neighbors might not exactly be grooving to your late-night jam sessions. Those early morning practices? Let’s just say they don’t always win the “Best Neighbor” award! So, brace yourself for the occasional shushing when inspiration strikes at 2 AM. Keep jamming—your time will come!
