The majority of this seventeen minutes in length concerto consists of thirty-second note flourishes, reminiscent of the wind. The accompaniment is lush and equally challenging in some sections. Dalbavie requires utmost control in all registers, embouchure flexibility, clean articulation, and breath support, as well as exceptional technical facility.
