Carl Joachim Andersen (1847-1909) was a Danish flutist, conductor, and composer born in Copenhagen, son of the flutist Christian Joachim Andersen. both as a virtuoso and as a composer of flute music, he is considered one of the best of his time.
His Opus 33 is revered by flute students and teachers around the world and is used in flute lesson curriculum often as an intermediate level etude book with etudes in each of the major and minor keys.
