Andersen, J :: Moto Perpetuo op. 8
Moto Perpetuo op. 8
Andersen, J
From the publisher, Gerard Billaudot, Joachim Andersen’s Moto Perpetuo op. 8 is one of the most beloved pieces written by Andersen. Similar in style to Paganini’s Moto Perpetuo for violin and piano, Andersen’s piece is a test in breath support, articulation stamina, evenness of fingers, concentration as well as ensemble awareness with a pianist or orchestra. Lasting approximately four minutes in length, with no rests after the flute enters, flutists might feel like they are in a long distance race to the finish. Moto Perpetuo is performed on both flute and piccolo and will delight all audiences. Joachim Andersen was a prolific Danish late 19th century composer, conductor and flutist.
