Joao Antunes presents Hesitante - Confiante [Hesitant - Confident] for flute alone.
From the composer:
'Hesitante - Confiante, a work that I dedicated to my friend Ana Lucia Agostinho, consists essentially of two distinct but in some ways complementary sections. The first section, more 'hesitant', is an act of creation and observation of a specific 'subject' to be drawn and colored during the second section. The 'confident' character of the second section does not reflect a greater rigidity or greater assertiveness; in this case, the use of the word 'confident is more related to the idea of surrender, but surrender without fear.'
