Hiroshi Arakawa presents Instrumental Colors I for flute quartet.
From the composer:
'In the three movements of Instrumental Colors I aimed for diversified sound colors and harmony, since only one specific instrument type is performing.
I. Allegro - Reminiscent of my studies in Nice when I was 20. It progresses wit non-metrical polyrhythms, and fragmentary elements (sustained legato lines) rise and disperse over an ostinato of precise subdivisions.
II. Moderato - The second movement is an homage to my master, Alain Marion, who left us in 1998 at age 59. He enjoyed and loved his life and friends while teaching a the Conservatoire de Paris.
III. Presto - Presto delivers cross-cultural influences between innovative music and the French/Latin music of the old days. Nostalgic yet colorful.'

Sheet music, instrument purchases, and Special Order Only (SOO) merchandise are non-returnable.
For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
