Aubin, F :: Nocturne
Nocturne
Aubin, F
From the publisher, Gerard Billaudot, Francine Aubin’s Nocturne for flute and piano is stunning work of beauty. In three sections, Andante, Allegro, and Andante, Nocturne is approximately nine minutes in length, and intermediate in difficulty. Aubin brilliantly weaves through long flowing phrases, extremes of dynamics in contrast with dashing articulated passages, as well as mixed meter. Flutists looking to add a stunning piece to their recital, or a female composer to their recital will have great joy in learning this piece. Francine Aubin was a prolific 20th/21st century French composer.
