Carmen Maria Carneci presents Die Niemandsrose: Three Songs after Paul Celan, for bass-baritone, flute doubling bass flute, clarinet in Bb doubling bass clarinet, and cello.

Die Niemandsrose was composed in 2011/2012 and first performed by the devotioModerna Ensemble in the concert Ah, Celan . The performance was part of the 2012 'International Week for New Music' in Bucharest, a festival which had Surrealism as its core theme that year. The Three Celan-Lieder have been primarily written for (bass-)baritone. However, they may also be addressed to a low female voice since the poetic texts themselves do not indicate a male-specific lyrical subject. In selecting these three poems I followed main ideas from Celan's poetry, such as positive and negative alienation, and the relationship between man and God. I have also included the particular nuance to be found in his love poems - the obsessive morbidity exhaling from the dark depth of the human psyche.

For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
