"The pandemic of 2020 left musicians and theatre practitioners with very empty diaries. As the strange times continued through the summer, we found ourselves in a blistering heatwave, and I had the notion of constructing a suite for flute and piano from three songs which seemed to suggest feelings of heat, which I'd originally written for assorted theatrical productions. The current titles [Peach Salsa, Twilight Blues, and Rainbow Samba] are an enigmatic nod to the music's sources." - Jason Carr, 2022.
