Gabriel Philippe Chaubet's Prelude et Jacasserie, for three flutes, is an engaging small chamber work in two parts. Entering with an Andante tranquillo, the flutes move through different moods exploiting the same melodic ideas until the Allegro Jacasserie is reached; there, the flutes take off in a bright display of playfulness.
