Furore Editions presents Viktoria Elisabeth Kaunzner's 'Coffee Mask' for flute and violin.
The composer writes about this piece, ''Coffee Mask' for flute and violin was commissioned for the 70th birthday of Mr. Thomas Richwien. The music was premiered at Jangcheon Art Hall, Seoul on November 21st, 2014 by the composer and Philipp Jundt. This synesthetic piece is inspired by 'Mask II', acrylic on canvas by Darmstadt-based artist Maria Trautmann, as well as shaking technique, a popular variety of combining colours during her painting processes. All accidentals refer to the same bar. The basic sound colour is beautiful and vibrated. Indicated vibrato means exaggerated in all interpretatoric dimensions. Performance duration is approximately 3 minutes.'
