Jonathan Cohen's Land of Arctic Fire offers the composer's impressions of Iceland, attempting (in only a few minutes!) to convey Iceland's beautiful, strange landscape. This work was commissioned for the 2019 National Flute Association Professional Flute Choir.
Instrumentation: Piccolo, 4 C Flutes, Alto Flute, Bass Flute, Contrabass Flute (or Contralto Flute in G), Low Flute at Large (in C, G, or F).
