Zimmermann presents the Concerto Grosso op. 6, No. 8, also known as the Christmas Concerto, by Arcangelo Corelli. This arrangement of Corelli's Baroque masterpiece for flute ensemble can be played by a trio with two large flutes and an alto or bass flute [optional cello] as well as a seven-part flute choir. The closing Pastorale movement is often performed during the holiday season and serves as a great addition to a flute ensemble recital. For intermediate players.
