From the composer: "[The commissioners] wished for a musical piece that incorporates modern playing techniques. Including rock music but also soft parts, with beauty but also some fun. I hope I succeeded in fulfilling these wishes. Sitting on a tandem, riding a vehicle either motorized or with pedaling force, or even sitting in a ski lift: this piece is a journey for two and finally both will sit."

This work includes many extended techniques, such as wind sounds, timbral trills, jet whistles, and singing and playing.
