Southern Music Publishing presents 'Herbsttag (Autumn Day)' for flute, bassoon, and harp by composer Miguel del Aguila.
'Herbsttag' was premiered in Vienna in 1986, and is recorded on Albany Records CD Troy 066. It was inspired by the poem of the same name by Rainer Maria Rilke. The composer writes: 'It is the atmosphere and the mood of loneliness and existential drama of the poem that I tried to recreate in my music.' Del Aguila has set the poem for soprano, flute, and harp in a version titled 'Es ist Zeit.'
