Demersseman, J
Jules Demersseman's 50 Melodic Studies, Op. 4, for solo flute are invaluable for developing a wide range of skills and expression in flute playing. The demands on the student are many-faceted, requiring equal attention to tone-control and to finger and articulative technique. They are fun to play, and introduce every challenge in a vital, musical and pleasurable manner.
This edition has been edited by Israel Borouchoff, who served as flute professor at Michigan State University, past President of the National Flute Association, and as premiere soloist and flute clinician at many prestigious events and ensembles.
