Robert Dick has focused in his career on redefining the music for his instrument, and even the instrument itself. As a child, he rejected the idea that the flute could play only one note at a time. In his 20s, he created thousands of new sounds. His teaching compositions, such as Lookout, are well known among flutists worldwide.
