Tracoline op. 6
Donjon, J
Revised by Jean-Louis Beaumadier, Johannes Donjon’s Tracoline for two piccolos op. 6 is a toe tapping joy ride. Approximately six minutes in length, this short piece works well for any flute recital. Crisp articulation and fluid technique are required throughout the many scalar and arpeggiated passages, particularly in the Polka movement! This short piece also serves as an exercise in blending and tuning two piccolos. Energetic from top to bottom, Tracoline is bound to keep audiences engaged and excited. Donjon is a beloved French composer of the 19th century.
