A highly politicized figure during his lifetime and since - because of a high-profile career carved out in the conditions of Communist dictatorship coupled with the immense emotive power of his music - by the time of his widely-celebrated centennial in 2006 Shostakovich was hailed by common consensus as one of the greatest twentieth-century composers. A substantial body of his large and varied musical output has established itself firmly in the standard repertory.
Shostakovich, in addition to his classical music, composed music for films. King Lear, a 1971 Soviet drama film directed by Grigori Kozintsev, was one film that Shostakovich composed the score for. From this, we have a duet for two flutes with piano or harp accompaniment that is indicative of Shostakovich’s compositional style and unique sound.

For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
