Maurice Emmanuel's 'Trois Odalettes anacreontiques, Op. 13' is a set of three songs for flute, voice, and piano, composed in 1911. The title refers to Anacreontic poetry, which originates from the ancient Greek poet Anacreon, known for his light, lyrical poetry celebrating love, wind, and nature. Emmanuel, a noted scholar of ancient music and Greek culture, was naturally drawn to this theme.
