Escaich, T :: Duo Impressionniste
From the publisher, Gerard Billaudot, Thierry Escaich’s ‘Duo Impressionniste’ for flute and clarinet is an excellent choice for performers looking for a short work to perform as a stand alone or recital piece. Although this duo is just a minute in length, the texture is exquisitely interwoven between both voices. Escaich challenges both flutist and clarinetist to blend their sound, becoming one seamless voice. Some mixed meter appears briefly in this duo. Thierry Esciach is a prolific 21st Century French composer.
