Apres un reve op. 7, No. 1
Faure, G
International Music Company presents Gabriel Faure's Apres un reve op. 7, no. 1 for violin (or flute), cello, and piano edited by Akira Eguchi, Gil Shaham, and Brinton Smith.
Please note that while it is the highest voice is scored for violin, it is well within the range of the flute and is perfectly acceptable as to be performed as such.
'This piano trio version of the song 'Apres un reve' was arranged as an encore piece for the first performance at Aspen Music Festival in July 2003, followed by the recording session of 'The Faure Album' with violinist Gil Shaham and cellist Brinton Smith. As a great admirer of Faure's music, I simply sought to demonstrate Faure's musical purity. There is nothing decorative or showy - only his pure spirit is in it.'
- Akira Eguchi, 2007
