Imaginary Sky-Lines is a mixed meter contemporary piece by composer Ivan Fedele scored for flute and harp. Composed in 1990, Imaginary Sky-Lines alternates between a duple and triple meter while the harp accompaniment plays a perpetual fast ostinato underneath the flute soloist. The flute line is full of extended techniques, including wind tones, tongue rams, and percussive breathing.
This Twentieth-century contemporary work for solo flute and harp will take the performers and audience alike on a sonic journey over a city skyline in an alternate world.
