Jean Francaix's 'Musique de Cour' is presented here by Schott for flute, violin, and piano. Composed in the year 1937, it is a French work for a classic ensemble high lighting music one might hear if they were to find themselves in the midst of a French Court.

A twentieth century French composer, Francaix was natrually gifted in music and began writing when he was only six years old. He published his first work at the age of ten which caught the attention of renowned composer and teacher, Nadia Boulanger whom considered Francaix to be one of her best pupils. Francaix was a skilled orchestrator which was reflected in his use of interesting timbres and tone colors which is evident in this beautiful flute concerto.
