The identity of G.W.E. Friedrich is a mystery; it is likely that is a pseudonym used by the composer to disguise their real identity. However, we do know that they were composing music for military bands and brass bands during the Civil War period of the United States. This suite will take your ensemble to a journey back in time as you play pieces that would ve been heard as soldiers marched to battle.
