Read in English as Five Night Choirs under the Coast this hauntingly beautiful contemporary work for the alto flute utilizes multiple extended techniques, including numerous multiphonics, pitch bending glissandi, timbral trills, tongue-rams, and percussive breath and key clicks! In five short movements, Gardella takes the performer and the audience on an aural journey through unorthodox flute tone and atonal harmony not for the faint of heart. This solo is advanced in difficulty.
