'Fade was commissioned by the National Flute Association for the 2019 Young Artist Competition. It is the 12th work in my series of compositions for solo instrument with electronics. As is my habit with these pieces, the two parts are woven together into an aural landscape of shifting rhythms and textures based upon the sonic material of the acoustic instrument. The electronic part of Fade is comprised entirely of acoustic flute sounds, some of which are easily identifiable, and others of which have been processed into completely different forms using a variety of software tools. The work is an exploration of the nature of human memory; which memories 'stick' with us, the ways in which memories transform and mutate over time, and how they can seem to vanish, only to reappear at later unexpected moments.'

Sheet music, instrument purchases, and Special Order Only (SOO) merchandise are non-returnable.
For other non-instrument merchandise, request return authorization or make an in-person return within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. Items must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all contents, and accompanied by the original receipt or invoice. Electronic media must be unopened.
Shipped returns require prior authorization. Return Authorizations (RAs) are valid for 10 calendar days from issue. The RA number must appear on the package, and the return must arrive within that period.
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an identical item if requested within 10 calendar days of the original invoice date. After that period, contact the manufacturer. Please contact us promptly about fulfillment errors.
