Gebauer, J
Though Joseph Gebauer is more often known for his bassoon works he also wrote several solo pieces and fantasias for flute that deserve note. His two fantasias, though ostensibly middle Classical in style, slip romantic and lush ideas throughout and create a distinct musical texture clearer and more overtly musical than Kuhlau's closely related Fantasias.
