Genin, P-A :: Berceuse op. 6
Berceuse op. 6
Genin, P-A
Revised by Jean-Louis Beaumadier, Paul-Agricole Genin’s Berceuse op. 6, originally for flute and piano has been beautifully transcribed for the piccolo. ‘Berceuse’ is a lyrical solo with long flowing lines, reminiscent of a stream. Comprised mostly of sixteenth notes, the piccolo floats on top of a supportive piano texture. Intermediate in difficulty, this piece serves both as a concert work or an exercise in scalar passages, fluid technique, and breath support. Genin was a prolific 20th century composer and flutist.
